Cool... that it's cooler... it was 73 this morning here in SE Texas. Feels good!I owe a debt of gratitude to this Forum, as well. The great people here taught me a lot during my transitional time from the world of "old school" passive landlording to the enlightened world of active landlording. But, my Purple Martins convinced me - they confirmed what I had learned. Paying attention to the birds, being involved in their lives, knowing what is going on with them day by day - this will open your eyes to the challenges they are faced with, and then you can react to correct the problems and next year change things so the problem never arises. It is so rewarding to provide a nesting environment that is productive and successful for the Purple Martins. The difference between the old days and now is awesome!
