The Rogersville Roost is now the Wheeler Dam Roost. I went to Wheeler Dam at around 7:15pm and noticed on the power lines crossing the river thousands of Martins. I wasn't sure if they were just gathering there before going somewhere or what. So my son and I went to the south side of the Dam where there was a better view and waited. At around 8:00pm Whhhoooooooo!!! I have never seen so many Martins in my life. My son said Daddy look a black tornado! Here's where they are going. There is a small island on the west side of the Dam. ( the low side) They are covering that island right before dark. There are a few small trees and some gravel patches on the island they are covered at dark. I was so excited that I hurried home and had to call Fred to tell him about it. You can come and see from the visitors view or use a boat. But it will be better with a boat. You can E-mail me at dwhbearfoot@earthlink.net if you need directions. You have got to experience this!!!!!!!!!

Darryl. Good detective work there. Sounds like a pretty cool place, and sight to see. Wish I were closer. CUL Lou
