My son called me last night and said he spotted one male at dusk but we hadn't opened the houses because we have a terrible sparrow problem. This morning, in the dark, my poor husband waded through the mud and muck with a flash light to open the houses. Just after dawn we had 3 ASY males and 2 females!
Within minutes the sparrows were everywhere. Headed to the store with my son for a new 22 "eliminator!"
By the way, this is 8 days earlier than last year.
Get out the lead shooten feeding machine on those sparrows, they can destroy Martins babies in a heart beat. Good luck and happy hunting.
