I finally got my attractant CD's hooked up like I intended to all along. It would play before but now it is at my discretion. It has been hooked to my surround sound system in the house but now it's the only speaker hooked up to it. My wife told me last night not to do it but... :P (she's gone this morning)

I have the capability of being rock concert loud. But how loud is too loud? Do I drown out any martin that might show up? Is it too loud when you can't hear all the other birds in the neighborhood? When the neighbor's complain? When the cops show up?

When do you turn it down or off? When 1 bird shows up? 2? 5? 10?

Hello, Gobbler T....If martins can hear anything like wild
turkeys you can play it on super low :)
When I was trying to get a start in martins i played my
cd way to loud and when the martins came in they would
act like they were afraid to land, but when i turned the sound
down really low they would land on the gourds and look in
to see if they could find the other martins.
But now I have a new problem with my martins, :???:
I have a pair that are content to be by them selfs
i can't seem to get past the one pair. Just yesterday the male
brought home another female to check out the gourds, But when
his mate seen the new female she got really mad and got
in a big fight, the last i seen of the new female she was heading
into the next county are state. :-(
Maybe she's heading your way :)
Good luck with your new martin project,I will be pulling for
you to get your start this year.
