Baby on the ground

When I got home from church this morning I saw a baby on the ground.
Not knowing where it belonged I just put it in my egg shell platform which is close to my gourd line.
I made a quick fall out shelter out of a excluder plate and 6" tube from a plastic down spout I used for my gourds and attached it to the gourd line pole.
It didn't take long until he started chirping and the matching pair started to feed him.
I checked for mites and didn't see any. The gourd he came from has a crescent hole with a porch. I think it just got pushed out.
Is there anything else I should do?

You could try putting it back inside the compartment it came from - if it has siblings in there, it will be less work for parents if all are in one place. Any idea of age/how close to fledging it is?

Good response. I had my first 2 jumpers this year. The first, when I was gone, and was hit by a car trying to get back to the yard. The other, I heard a lot of "CHATTER" and went to see what was up, He/She could fly, just not far. When I tried to catch him, he would fly 6 or 8 yards with 20+ martins around. So I stayed out and watched him, so he wouldn't get on the road, too. Went back and he was gone, I think Ma/Pa and everyone else helped him fledge
