SEVERAL YEARS AGO I BECAME INTERESTED IN BUILDING NET GUARDS FOR ALL MY SYSTEMS AND I LOOKED AT LOTS OF LITERATURE ON THE FORUM. MAYBE I JUST COULD NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO MAKE ONE WITH NETTING THAT I COULD RAISE AND LOWER WITHOUT A GREAT EFFORT,IF AT ALL. I BOUGHT THE NET MATERIAL.. WE ARE NEST CHECKERS AND RECORDKEEPERS. I JUST KILLED A SNAKE (IN BROAD DAYLIGHT) UP IN THE RACK--SO I AM VERY INTERESTED AGAIN... ANY ADVICE PLEASE? THANKS

The exact thing happened here yesterday, 3 foot rat snake caught in the one nets I have out of 4 poles. Thank god he chose that pole . My neighbor swears it is a copperhead snake but it didn't have a viper head and had round eyes. I will net all the poles this weekend.

Correction: after doing more research it looks more like a black snake. My neighbor thought it was a copperhead. I have built net traps on all poles.
