From my front porch there is a real nice view behind the gourd racks that includes a killer sunset if the clouds are right. The birds will be fletching soon. Also the pond gets pretty active when they are looking for water / bath / dragonflys. I do not have video recording capability. Anybody want to come over and get some good shots?

North Alabama, just North of Huntsville.
2014 8 gourds, 3 pairs nested. Ended w/ 24 total
2015 24 gourds, 22 nests. Lotsa birds!
2016 24 gourds and good activity.
2017 32 SREH gourds. Great activity.
2018 40 SREH gourds. Good finish despite big storm damage. No more dangling gourds.
2019 56+ SREH gourds, all on 3/8 rods. Birds did very well.
2020 56 SREH gourds.

Martin Colony History: Had my site up to 22 gourds of which most (+/-3) stayed occupied.
Downsized to 17 gourds due to back surgeries. Had 14 families in 2017 but did not do nest checks due to health. Feeling better in 2018 and hoping for a good year.

Chris,
Nothing I would like better if I lived closer! Love a good sunset and have always wanted a pond. All I have is an in ground pool that I would trade for a pond full of fish any day. :)

some regular point and shoot cameras will take video this day and time. I'm waiting to get the new Nikon P900. It's a point and shoot with a killer zoom capability.

Their sold out right now.....shows how good they are. It's in the Nikon "Cool Pix" camera line. These zoom as good as a $2000.00 dollar camera setup. Just awesome.
