As of yesterday (July 29) I have one nest remaining with three young about 3/4 grown. I estimate fledging perhaps a week away. It has been a successful season for me with early summer rains breaking the drought somewhat and milder temperatures than past recent summers.
Of 32 apartments offered (wood T-14, wood Cedar Suite, Trio, 2 Super gourds, cheap plastic house) recorded the following for 2015:
20 active nests (with eggs laid)
86 total eggs laid
73 fledged young (85%)
At Holcomb; in Western Kansas
