Should I keep the plugs in or out? I haven't seen any Martins yet.

I would not open them all up just yet. The more you have open now the more trouble you will have with sparrows. Just open two or three and wait before your PM's begin arriving.

I can see my colony from house. I don't open any entrances until I see the first martin. Then I open them a little at a time. If the one they want isn't open you will see them hanging around it and you can open it up. I have to battle sparrows year round though and they are much easier to kill/trap when the entrances are closed.
