Has anyone thought about using these on a martin pole? One could completely cover and surround a removable predator guard with these glue traps using velcro. When the snake tries to bypass the predator guard, it would get stuck in the glue. Velcro on the back of glue boards and on the predator guard would make them easy to remove and replace. A removable predator guard with these glue boards attached would still be easy to remove from pole. Not sure if it will work. Might be worth a test. If the snake were to yank the velcroed trap of the guard, it would still not be in any shape to climb with a glue board attached. Any thoughts?

Martin Colony History: Put up the colony in 2015 and had a mean and nasty fight with the sparrows, yet one pair stayed and five fledged.

It should work just like snake nets, yet it may damage the scales and injure the snakes. In this situation it would probably be best to use netting since it will keep your martins safe and still allow the snake to live and eat pests such as rats and mice. You can also make a snake repellent using 28% Cinnamon Oil, 2% Cedar Oil, .5% Clove Oil, and 69.5% of a mixture of Sodium Sulfate and water. Good luck with the upcoming season

I wouldn't use that. It might catch something that you don't want it catching. Netting is pretty cheap. I don't see a snake getting passed netting if you place it on the pole correctly. The right size netting and it placed correctly on the pole should stop a snake.
