First arrival of a pair on February 10th. Almost a month earlier than last year, but last year was my first nesting pairs. I finished repairs on the gourd rack on Saturday the 8th and two days later I was greeted by the sound of Purple Martins! Looking forward to another successful year. Best wishes to everyone else as the migration continues.

8 pairs last year with early arrivals this year. Here's to hoping you get 100% occupancy.
My colony has grown by one pair every year except last year it bounced up by two. Year 1 - one pair. Year 2- 2 pair. Year 3- 4 pair. So here I am in year 4 having moved a Trio Wade to my property from across the alley so hopefully I will inherit those two pairs plus others since I opened 4 more compartments. I have 18 gourd cavities ready to go with 4 of them waiting on the return from last year.
Sorry about the rambling about myself. Just looking forward to their arrival. I think typing about it will make them arrive sooner.

Thanks to everyone with encouragement! Always an exciting time when they start to arrive. This morning I have two pairs and a spare. Like many others the gourd rack is my own design, the center section is made from two pieces of polyethylene cutting board material sandwiched together with 1/4 stainless rods. All plastic, PVC and stainless hardware makes it pretty resistant to the corrosion here in Florida. When asked about the design I call it the Sputnik! ( for those old enough to remember)
The pole is a 4 inch round aluminum 18 feet from ground to top, with a winch to raise and lower.
