This has been a very good year for me and I feel very blessed to have so many pairs this year. This is something I have wished for since I was a teen and I will not say how many years ago that has been
Fledging starting in full force
This week my first nest of babies fledged and the past couple of days there has been heavy activity around the colony. In 6 nests I saw the nestlings sticking there heads out, especially when mom and dad brought back food. It should be a matter of days before they are out and finding a safe spot they will beroosting at for a few days while they get acclimated to their new surroundings.

- Martin Colony History: Erected 1st house in 1997. Birds were checking it out before Mike got down from the ladder. Six cavities had a little colony 1st year. Grown to 88 cavities all gourds with near 100% occupancy. Most important factor for success is rain = bugs.
Congratulations, Bob.
Enjoy yourself - best wishes for many more successful seasons.
