This was a very mild winter for North Dakota with very little snow.
We strive to have our 16 gourds hung by April 15.
My colony usually arrives around April 23.
I was concerned that the unseasonable warm weather would bring the martins in earlier than normal.
We hung the gourds out on Monday, April 8
They arrived at 11:26 a.m., Saturday, April 13.
In the past they have arrived as early as April 10; once, and as late as May 10.
This is one of the few years they did not bring a snow storm, or freezing rain, with them.
Our Season 21 can now commence!

Congrats!!! Glad they arrived in good weather for once. Im sure your mild winters in the Dakota would paralyze Texas.
