Temps, been up, down, 2 or 3 days 70=80*, Now 40* to drop to 31* tonite. And 40=60* The High next few days.,very Windy, 25mph. Should straighten out soon to 70s. But you never know. Hoping for the best. I have my T.S. Shepherds hooks gourds in another part of our yard. Far away from the Matins gourd...

4 days ago had 2 TS flying around 2 mornings , then left. Not seen any TS since.
Anyone having same problem.

Last nights count= 7.
This A.M. 12+. = 5 are Females.
Makes A HAPPY DAY.
Sunny, Bright. T=51*. Awesome.

We have 7 Martin's today. Not ID them all yet, see if Male/Female. Plan to do ID tomorrow.

Just 1 T.S. Male here 8AM. past 2 days. Makes a few laps and is gone. I have the TS gourds in same place as last year.
MARTINS= Still just 4. Martin's are slow showing up this year. Gotta be patient.

She flew in today. The 2 males are very Happy, they REALLY are singing now. All still checking out gourds. My friend at Sandborn, Ind. has
40 Martin's so far. Has had a colony for years, 100+ pairs. Has a pond nearby, his Martin's love that, of course.
Hope other landlords are getting more Martin's!

We have 3 Martin's today. 2 neighbors also have their Martin's Returning.
The 70* Temps. are bringing the Martin's in.
We expect more this week.

Had 2 Martin's 3 days ago. The second Martin stayed 2 days, then left. The ASY Male still here. He is determined. Temps 60=70* this next week. But Stormy days too. Temps will bring out the insects. He is checking out gourds this AM. Temp. to be
T=58-60*. Sunny. Weather patterns are crazy.
Love hearing his singing. Am sure more Martin's will be here in a few days. A Happy Day.

There are several different varieties of gourd seeds. Research DIPPER gourd seeds. I planted those a few years back. Got some Big Gourds,
Perfect for Martin's. There are even bigger gourds too, I don't recall the names right now.
You can check online.

Unfortunately, we either buy gourds at higher prices or go with buying natural gourds, or just not buy, period. May be more working getting natural gourds ready but costwise, the price is lots cheaper. Good Luck.

You could paint the green roofs white for the next season. Just an idea.
