I am pleased,I guess,to report that I have 10 birds as of this morning,,All look just fine..That's Ashland city,tn...frank

First off,ashland city is north of Nashville...At least 3 weeks early,I keep looking but don't see him again...frank

season completly over in this part of tn...houses down,put away..Just before dusk,saw dozens and dozens of martins,flying high just feeding,were accomoanied by dozens of Whip-o wills no less..god is in his heaven-

awoke to rack down,tin houses torn apart..put back as best I could...Question,with nests destroyed with eggs,any chance of renesting this year...sigh

Linda,with this terrible drought causing literally no flowers,I just finished with maybe 80 hummers that came from heaven knows where...14 FEEDERS,3 GALLONS OF SUGAR WATER EVERY DAY FOR 2 WEEKS.They are gone now,but hopefully with full bellies...frank

Am looking at a beautiful ASY male just arrived in a snow flurry,heaven help him!!! Ordering couple thousand crickets as soon as this is posted..3 days early.....frank

Last birds still here,4 left..A splendid year with 35 pair,raised 159 babies!!!Got 1 king snake with netting,put in chipmonk hole,1 very bad coon,turkey vultures loved him...Next year should be dynamite!!!frank

Good grief!! What a lot of work for such a simple process!!!PUT THEM IN A MICROWAVE FOR 45 SECONDS,WITH A CLOTH OVER THEM CASE THE EXPLODE,COOL THEM,PUT IN PLASTIC BAG AND YOU'RE DONE!!!!!

Had the same problem!! Drop houses,GET SOME THICK PLASTIC ,CUT HOLE SAME SIZE AS POLE,BOLT OR RIVET SAME TO BOTTOM OF HOUSE,ADJUST FORTIGHTNESS,HOUSESHOULD RAISE ALMOST SILENTLY...GOOD LUCK...FRANK

I have 36 big naturals that I use..For the past 4 years,I virtually have to scrape and sand,and repaint them..Someone on the forum I'm sure has solved this problem..Would certainly appreciate some needy advice,thanks..frank

watched starlings try for 3 weeks to get in,none were able..My birds hit the entrences at high speed and have no difficulty..They work great for me..frank

I have a big natural gourd with 5 babies inside,twice in two days,a cooper hawk has landed on porch,gone crazy trying to drag out babies to no avail..I guess they crowd way back in huge gourd and survive..A word to the wise...frank
